What Is a Women's Private Escape in Morocco?
It is a private, tailor-made Morocco holiday for a group of women traveling together, with no other guests in your vehicle, your own itinerary, and a pace you set between you.
Some groups are celebrating a milestone birthday or a long-awaited reunion. Others are a mother and daughter who finally have two weeks together, or friends who simply want good food, beautiful places and time to talk. Every escape starts from your group: your ages, energy levels, interests and how much you want to see versus how much you want to rest.
Moroccan Desert Trips is a local family business led by Hakim and Aziz, family members from Merzouga who have each worked in tourism for more than 15 years. They plan every route personally, and they will tell you honestly where a journey involves long days on the road and where a slower alternative works better.
Three Ways to Shape Your Morocco Escape
Most groups mix all three: a celebratory friends' getaway, hands-on cultural experiences, and slow, wellness-focused days, in whatever balance suits you.
Friends' Getaways
Long dinners in candlelit riad courtyards, rooftop evenings over the medina, a cooking class where everyone takes home a recipe, and unhurried browsing in the souks for ceramics, textiles and leather. Celebration dinners for birthdays or reunions can be arranged in advance.
Cultural Experiences
Guided walks through the medinas of Marrakech and Fes with licensed city guides, visits to artisan workshops, market-to-table Moroccan cuisine, and time in Amazigh (Berber) villages of the Atlas and the desert, met respectfully and on local hosts' terms.
Wellness & Slow Travel
Traditional hammam rituals, optional spa treatments, gentle walks in the Atlas foothills, unhurried days on the Atlantic coast and quiet nights in the desert. Yoga sessions can be added where qualified practitioners are available on your dates.
You do not have to choose one style. A 10-day escape might begin with three social days in Marrakech, slow down in the mountains, and end with a hammam and the sea air of Essaouira. Tell us the mix, and we will build the route around it.

Signature Experiences and Where You Will Stay
Your escape combines a short list of carefully chosen experiences with boutique riads, premium hotels and, on desert routes, luxury camps, all proposed during planning and confirmed in your written itinerary.
Experiences we can arrange
- Moroccan cooking classes in a riad or family home, often starting at the market.
- Artisan visits to weavers, potters, leather workers and zellige tile makers.
- Hammam and spa appointments, from a traditional public hammam to a private riad spa.
- Licensed city guides for the medinas of Marrakech and Fes; female guides can be requested, subject to availability.
- Gentle Atlas walks between villages and terraced fields, at a pace your whole group can enjoy.
- Sunset in the desert, with camel riding optional and alternatives on foot or by 4×4.
Boutique riads and premium hotels
In the cities we propose boutique riads, traditional courtyard houses inside the medina, and premium hotels where you prefer more space or a pool. Twin rooms, single rooms and, for larger groups, exclusive use of a whole riad can be requested where available. We present accommodation as proposed styles and confirm each property and room arrangement before you book.
Luxury desert camps
On Sahara journeys we propose luxury camps at Merzouga with private bathrooms in each tent. Heating, air conditioning, room arrangements and alternatives to camel riding vary from camp to camp, so we confirm them for your dates during planning.
Planning Your Escape: Practical Questions
A private escape is planned around your group from the start, and anything that depends on availability or season is confirmed with you in writing before you book.
How do private transport and airport transfers work?
Your private vehicle and English-speaking driver meet you on arrival and stay with your group on travel days. Airport transfers at the start and end are arranged with your itinerary, and you can stop on the road whenever you need a break.
How do you balance guided activities and free time?
We plan around one main activity a day, leaving afternoons or evenings free. Longer journeys include whole days with nothing scheduled, for the pool, the spa or wandering on your own.
Can we discuss dietary requests in advance?
Yes, tell us about allergies, vegetarian or vegan diets and other needs when you enquire. We pass them to each riad, hotel and camp and confirm what each can provide.
Can walking levels and long drives be adapted?
Yes, within the limits of geography. Medinas involve uneven lanes and steps, and reaching the Sahara takes long days on the road; we can split drives with extra nights, choose step-free rooms where available, or suggest a route without the desert.
Can we request female-led experiences?
Yes, you can request female guides, cooking hosts and wellness practitioners. Availability varies by city and date, so we confirm what is possible during planning rather than promise it in advance.
How do the seasons affect the route?
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable times for combining cities, mountains and the desert. Summer brings intense heat inland, so we favour the coast and mountains then; winter nights in the Atlas and the Sahara are cold, which affects camp and route choices.
What is included, optional or excluded?
Private transport and itinerary planning are included in every escape. Accommodation, meals, guides and activities are listed tour by tour in your written itinerary. Spa treatments, yoga and some workshops are optional extras. International flights, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included.
Women's Private Morocco Tours: FAQs
Every escape is private, tailor-made and confirmed with you in writing, from room arrangements to female-led experiences.
Will we travel with other groups?
No. Every escape is a private departure: only you and your chosen companions travel in the vehicle and follow the itinerary.
Can we customize a suggested journey?
Yes, completely. Change the length, start and end cities, hotels, activities and pace; the seven journeys on this page are starting points.
Can we have a female guide?
You can request one, subject to availability. Female city guides, cooking hosts and wellness practitioners are available in some places and dates, and we confirm before booking.
Do we have to share rooms?
No. You can choose twin rooms, single rooms or a mix, and larger groups can ask for exclusive use of a riad where available.
Do we have to go to the Sahara?
No. Several journeys skip it entirely. For a taste of the desert without long drives, the Agafay stony desert is about an hour from Marrakech.
What wellness activities can we include?
Hammam rituals, spa treatments, gentle walks and yoga where qualified practitioners are available. These are relaxation experiences, not medical or therapeutic treatments.
Can you cater for dietary needs?
We can pass your requirements to every property in advance. We confirm what each riad, hotel and camp can provide before you book.
