This 5-day journey from Ouarzazate to Fes offers a mix of desert adventure, historic kasbahs, and cultural exploration. Travel through the Anti-Atlas mountains, Draa Valley, and Erg Chebbi dunes, experience a camel trek and spend a night in a traditional Berber camp. Continue through scenic valleys, cedar forests, and Berber villages before arriving in Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city, to explore its rich culture and heritage.
Day 1: Arrival in Ouarzazate
Pick up from Ouarzazate airport and, depending on your arrival time, visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia were filmed. Transfer to your riad for overnight stay.
Day 2: Ouarzazate ➝ Draa Valley ➝ Nkoub ➝ Alnif ➝ Rissani ➝ Merzouga
Depart Ouarzazate and drive through the Anti-Atlas mountains. Stop along the Draa Valley to admire Berber villages and kasbahs. Lunch in Alnif, then continue to Merzouga. Ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to reach your desert camp for the night.
Day 3: Merzouga ➝ Erfoud ➝ Ziz Valley ➝ Midelt ➝ Azrou ➝ Fes
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, drive towards Fes, stopping in the Ziz Valley for photos and Midelt for lunch. Visit the Azrou cedar forest to see wild monkeys. Continue to Fes for overnight in a riad.
Day 4: Fes Cultural Visit
Full-day guided tour of Fes. Explore the old medina, Royal Palace, Karaouine Mosque, Attarin Souks, and Charij Bouanania. Afternoon free to relax or continue exploring. Overnight in riad.
Day 5: Fes ➝ Airport
End of the tour with transfer to Fes airport for departure.
