Day 1: Marrakech

Arrival in Marrakech and transfer to your riad. You will have an introductory overview of the city, its history, and its unique architecture. Dinner and overnight in the riad.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

After breakfast, depart Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass (2260 m). Travel along Oued Tamesna, which supports small towns like Tighremt and Irhem N’Ougdal. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for films such as Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. Continue to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Valley of Roses – Dades Valley – Todra Gorges

Explore Ouarzazate and its kasbahs before traveling to the Valley of Roses. Walk through lush palm groves and continue to Dades Valley, observing kasbahs, ksours, oases, and palm trees along the route until reaching Tinghir and the Todra Gorges. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Todra – Erfoud – Merzouga

Visit Todra Gorges early in the morning. Continue to Tinjdad and Ksar de Touroug, a fortified oasis town. Travel through Erfoud, famous for dates, and arrive at Merzouga. Enjoy a 2-hour camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes, watch the sunset, and stay overnight in a desert camp.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Zagora

After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel through Rissani, Alnif, Mercissi, Tazzarine, Nkob, Tansikht, and the Draa Valley to reach Zagora. Dinner and overnight stay in Zagora.

Day 6: Zagora – Agdz – Ouarzazate

Drive through the Draa Valley from Zagora to Ouarzazate (164 km), passing numerous villages and palm oases. Cross Djebel Sagha with its unique heart-shaped dunes. Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight in a riad.

Day 7: Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Return to Marrakech via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the High Atlas. Enjoy the scenic landscapes along the way. Dinner and overnight at your riad in Marrakech.

Day 8: Marrakech – Airport

Transfer to Marrakech airport according to your flight schedule. End of the 8-day Marrakech to Sahara Desert tour.
