Private Morocco Grand Tours: 8–20 Day Tailor-Made Journeys
Our Morocco grand tours are private journeys of 8 to 20 days that combine imperial cities, the Sahara and, on longer routes, the Atlantic coast, planned for your own group and starting from Casablanca, Tangier or another city of your choice.
What Is a Private Morocco Grand Tour?
A private Morocco grand tour is a journey of a week or more, travelled only with your own group and driver, that links several regions, usually the imperial cities, the High Atlas and the Sahara, in one route.
Our published grand tours each include a guided day in Fes, at least one night in the Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga, and a private vehicle with driver throughout. Longer routes add the Atlantic coast, more time in Marrakech, or the north around Chefchaouen. They suit couples, families, mature travellers and small private groups who want to see the country properly rather than in a rush.

Imperial Cities, Mountains and the Sahara
Every published grand tour combines at least one imperial city, the High or Middle Atlas, and a night in the Sahara near Merzouga.
Why do grand tours include Fes?
Grand tours include a guided day in Fes because its medina is one of Morocco's great historic cities, which UNESCO says has kept its role as
"the country's cultural and spiritual centre."— UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Medina of Fez
What is the desert like?
The published grand tours reach the Erg Chebbi dunes at Merzouga, which the Moroccan National Tourist Office calls
"one of the gates of the Sahara"— Moroccan National Tourist Office (Visit Morocco), Errachidia-Midelt-Merzouga
What heritage sites are on the way?
Most routes pass Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site described as
"a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco."— UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou
and several include the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
How much time is there in Marrakech?
Marrakech is either an overnight stop or a guided day, depending on the route; UNESCO describes its main square as
"Place Jamaâ El Fna, a veritable open-air theatre."— UNESCO World Heritage Centre, Medina of Marrakesh

Start and finish where you fly
Casablanca, Tangier, Marrakech, Fes or another city.
Flexible pacing
Add nights to break up long drives or spend longer in one place.
Accommodation to suit you
Tell us the hotel, riad and camp standard you prefer.
Your interests
More culture, more desert, the coast, or family-friendly stops.
What Is Included in a Private Grand Tour?
Every published grand tour includes a private vehicle with driver, hotel or riad accommodation, at least one night at a desert camp with a camel ride, and dinners and breakfasts; flights, lunches, drinks and entrance fees are not included.
Guided city days, extra excursions and the exact accommodation differ by tour, so check each itinerary's own inclusions. Guided visits are led by local guides where an itinerary lists them, and your driver looks after transport and logistics. Driver language varies by tour; tell us your preferred language when you enquire.
