 Day 1: TANGIER – RIF MOUNTAINS – CHEFCHAOUEN

Morocco Tour from Tangier to Marrakech Meet our guide at Tangier port/hotel and you make your way to chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, Tour of Chefchaouen(or Chaouen), founded by the Muslims and Jews who were pushed by Christians in the 15th century. the town was not known until the 20th century and had remained relatively unchanged for 500 years. It is said to give the best possible view of what an Andalucian town would look like in the time of the Moors. The city becomes a tourist destination, its narrow medina streets, white and blue colored houses and its beautiful situation in the middle of the mountains make it unique, There are cafes around the main square and hotels.

 

 Day 2 : CHEFCHAOUEN- VOLUBILIS -FEZ

On the second day of our tour from Tangier to Marrakech, we Depart for Fes at 10:00 pm. We will drive through green hills, open vast lands, and wheat fields. We stop for lunch near Ouazane and we continue to Volubilis. It is the best-preserved roman ruins in Morocco. A guided tour inside the roman site will take you back to the myths of Rome through the stunning mosaic, streets, columns, and baths. Not far, there is an old village of Moulay Driss Zerhoune where the founder of the first Arab Islamic dynasty in Morocco is buried. If time permits a stop for mint tea in this town before we head to Fez. Hotel/Riad.

 

 Day 3: FEZ MEDINA GUIDED TOUR

That day of our Tangier to Marrakech tour and after breakfast, you will have a guided visit at 10:00 Am in the medina of Fès. Begin with the southern tower and the fortress of the 16th century face to face with the northern one, a panoramic view over the medieval city. We will visit a pottery cooperative. It will enhance your knowledge about the making of Moroccan mosaic “zellij” and the blue pottery of Fez. A true labyrinthine old city of the 8th century. You will travel in time back to the medieval period of the city where people still work in small narrow streets, several tiny stalls of all kinds of traditional crafts, and donkeys loaded with supplies going up and down in the streets of the medina. You will feel no sense of direction and time for a while. The medina of Fez is rich in its Islamic monuments: the fascinating old mosques, the University of El-Karaouiyine, and its libraries. All These elements made Fez the spiritual and cultural capital of the country. Enhance the day with an optional dinner with belly dancers.

 

 Day 4 : FEZ – ERFOUD – Merzouga

Morning drive through the Middle Atlas mountains. It is home to Barbary apes called “the maggot”, native to the forest of cedar wood in the Middle Atlas. A break in Ifran town will be very appreciated. It is a famous place for ski resorts in Morocco and it is established during the French protectorate. We are having lunch in Medilt known for the best production of apples in Morocco. Stop for the photo in Ziz valley which is the beginning of palm groves and dates. Erfoud is the capital of Fossils in Morocco so you will have this chance to visit one of the factories where they make beautiful articles out of marble. And right after that, we visit the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif in Rissani, the founder of the Alaouite dynasty of Morocco during the 17th century. We continue our tour from Tangier to Marrakech by driving to Merzouga. Overnight in a hotel.

 

 Day 5: FREE DAY DESERT DUNES DISCOVERY

On the fifth day of your tour from Tangier to Marrakech, you will Meet Nomads Gnawa Music & Most Desert Activities. The guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sandy Dunes of the Erg-Chebbi, you will enjoy the beauty of the sunset on a camel, and after 2 hours you will reach the desert camp to spend the night in a Berber tent. At your desert shelter, your camels are hobbled and mint tea is served. After a wonderful dinner, there will be a campfire and drums playing, and we will listen to the songs of the Berbers, Nomads of Southern Moroccan.

 

 Day 6: DESERT CAMP – ALNIF – TODRA GORGE – DADES VALLEY

Early wake up for the sunrise and camel ride back to the dunes line. Time for breakfast and shower after we Head to Tinjdad and we pull over to see the old underground system of irrigation “khatarat” which is still used in the oasis of Jorf. Lunch inTodra valley. It has beautiful kasbahs and mountains along 15 km of palm groves. Arrive at the spectacular gorges 300 m high and enjoy a little walk near the river of Toudra. Overnight in Kasbah hotel in Dades Valley to continue your tour from Tangier to Marrakech the next day.

 

 Day 7 : DADES VALLEY – SKOURA – OUARZAZATE- MARRAKECH

On the last day of our tour from Tangier to Marrakech, We will Drive from Dades valley to Marrakech through Rose Valley, Ouarza To discover the Road Of 1000 Kasbah & visit Ait Ben haddou Kasbah the best world heritage site in Morocco, the place where many Movies were filmed like Lawrence of Arabia Gladiator… After lunch, we will continue our way to Marrakech passing through Berber villages in the High Atlas Mountains.
